Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years, all but fifty; so the Flood seized them, while they were evildoers. 14 Yet We delivered him, and those who were in the ship, and appointed it for a sign unto all beings. 15 Tell of Abraham. He said to his people, "Worship God and fear Him, that would be best for you, if only you knew. 16 "You worship besides Allah only idols, and you only invent falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides Allah have no power to give you provision, so seek your provision from Allah (Alone), and worship Him (Alone), and be grateful to Him. To Him (Alone) you will be brought back. 17 And if ye belie me, then communities before you have belied: and upon the apostle is naught but a preaching manifest. 18 Are then they [who deny the truth] not aware of how God creates [life] in the first instance, and then brings it forth anew? This, verily, is easy for God! 19 Say: "Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things. 20 He punisheth whom He will and showeth mercy unto whom He will, and unto Him ye will be turned. 21 You cannot challenge God in the heavens or in the earth. No one besides God is your guardian or helper. 22
