Whomsoever We grant a long life, We reverse him in his constitution. Do they still not understand? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 that he may warn whosoever is living, and that the Word may be realized against the unbelievers. 70 Did they not see that We have created animals for them from Our handiwork, so they are their owners? 71 We have subdued them to them, and some of them they ride, and some they eat; 72 And they have therefrom other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks? 73 And they have taken gods besides Allah that they may be helped. 74 They (the appointed Gods) cannot help them; and they and their armies will come (to Us), as captives. 75 So let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad). Lo! We know what they conceal and what proclaim. 76 Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed? Yet lo! he is an open opponent. 77 He strikes for Us a similitude and forgot his own creation. He says: “Who will quicken the bones when they have decayed?” 78 Say: "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life [once again,] seeing that He has full knowledge of every act of creation: 79 Who gave you fire from a green tree, with which you ignite the flame." 80 Is He who created the heavens and the earth unable to create their like? Yes, indeed, He is the Creator, the Knower. 81 when He decrees a thing, He need only say, "Be!" and it is. 82 So glory be to Him who has control over all things. It is to Him that you will all be brought back. 83
