O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
