The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- 2 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 3 We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity. 4 They are those for whom there will be an evil torment (in this world). And in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 Thou receivest the Koran from One All-wise, All-knowing. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 8 “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” 9 And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear. 10 Excepting any who may have done wrong and thereafter changeth evil for good then verily I am Forgiving, Merciful. 11 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness; a sign among the nine signs towards Firaun and his people; they are indeed a lawless nation.” 12 But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic." 13 And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 14
