The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
