(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
