Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
