The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
