The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
