And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
