Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
