The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
