The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
