Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
