Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8
