Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 till you reached the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
