Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
