(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 It is nothing but a reminder unto all beings, 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
