Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
