The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
