Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
