Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 and goblets laid out, 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
