Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
