The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
