And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
