Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire. 72 It will then be said to them: “Where are those whom you 73 other than Allah' They will reply: 'They have gone astray from us. Indeed what we used to call upon before is nothing' Accordingly, Allah leads the unbelievers astray. 74 That is because ye had been exulting in the earth without right, and because ye had been strutting. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
