Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And used to deny the Day of Justice." 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
