The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
