It is God who sends down water from the sky for you to drink and produces plants as pasture for your cattle. 10 And with it He grows for you corn, and the olive and the date-palm and the grape, and all kinds of fruits. Surely, in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He subjected the night and the day for you – and the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected to His command; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 12 And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, so that you may eat its fresh seafood and bring forth from it ornaments to wear. You see the ships cleaving through it. All this, so that you may seek His bounty and feel grateful. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 And landmarks; and they are guided by the star. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 For, were you to count the favours of Allah, you will not be able to count them. Surely Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knoweth that which ye keep secret and that which ye publish. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected. 21
