We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his Council, and he said: 'I am the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds' 46 but when he came to them with Our signs, they ridiculed them, 47 And not a sign We shewed them but it was greater than the like thereof; and We laid hold of them with the torment that haply they might turn. 48 They said, "Magician, pray to your Lord for us through your covenant with Him (If he saves us from the torment), we shall certainly seek guidance". 49 But when We eased them of the torment, behold! they broke their word. 50 And Firon proclaimed amongst his people: O my people! is not the kingdom of Egypt mine? And these rivers flow beneath me; do you not then see? 51 Or am I [not] better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear? 52 Why, then, have armlets of gold not been set upon him, or angels sent along with him? 53 He incited his people to levity and they obeyed him. Surely they were an iniquitous people. 54 So when they incurred Our wrath, We exacted retribution from them, and drowned them all, 55 And made them a precedent and example for posterity. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
