The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
