Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, writers 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
