The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
