The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
