The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
