In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
