Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
