The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
