And the heaven! We have built it with might, and verily We are Powerful. 47 And the earth – We spread it out, and how well have We smoothed it! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. 54 but keep on exhorting them, for exhortation benefits the believers. 55 I have not created jinn and mankind except to serve Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 The unjust will bear a burden like that of their unjust predecessors. Let them not make Me bring immediate punishment upon them. 59 So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised. 60
