Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
