Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed! 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And he will return to his family rejoicing. 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Surely he was (erstwhile) joyful among his followers. 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 But he will indeed! His Lord was ever watching him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 or by the night in which things all come together to rest, 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
