So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
