The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 They sat by it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
