We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
