۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
