Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders; 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 Except the ones who listen on the sly, yet they are chased away by a shooting flame. 18 And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 Lo! thy Lord will gather them together. Lo! He is Wise, Aware. 25
