The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 8 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 9
