We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
