Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
