۞ Allah is He Who made subservient to you the sea that the ships may run therein by His command, and that you may seek of His grace, and that you may give thanks. 12 He has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and the earth, all being from Him. Verily there are Signs in this for those who reflect. 13 Say to those who believe (that) they forgive those who do not fear the days of Allah that He may reward a people for what they earn. 14 Whosoever worketh righteously, worketh for himself; and whosoever doth evil, doth against himself; then unto your Lord ye will be made to return. 15 We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations. 16 And We gave them clear proofs in the command; so they did not differ except after the knowledge had come to them – due to jealousy among themselves; indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matter in which they differ. 17 And thereafter We have placed thee upon the law of the religion; so follow it thou, and follow not the vain desires of those who know not. 18 Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous. 19 This [revelation, then,] is a means of insight for mankind, and a guidance and grace unto people who are endowed with inner certainty. 20 Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge. 21
